More Than Another Tournament

At DC Golf, we believe junior golf should be about more than medals, trophies, rankings, and pressure.

The Back to School Bash is designed to bring out a different side of the game. Players will compete in a 4-person team scramble, cheer each other on, contribute to a team score, and experience golf in a format that feels energetic, social, and fun.

Whether your junior golfer signs up with friends or comes in as an individual, they will be part of a team. Every player matters. Every player contributes. Every player gets to be part of the Bash.

  • THE FORMAT

The Back to School Bash will be played as a 4-person scramble.

Each player hits a tee shot. The team selects the best shot, and everyone plays from that spot. The team continues this process until the ball is holed. Every team must use at least three tee shots from each player, so every junior golfer has the chance to contribute to the team’s success.

Players will play from age-appropriate tee boxes to help keep the event fun, fair, and balanced.

    Approximate 18-hole yardages:

    • 8 and under: 3,200 yards

    • Ages 9 to 12: 4,400 yards

    • Ages 13 to 15: 5,500 yards

    • Ages 16 to 18: 6,100 yards

  • REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Registration closes July 14, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET, unless the 40-player field fills first.

If the field fills before the deadline, registration will close and families may join the waitlist.

  • REFUND & WEATHER POLICY

Players may withdraw for a full refund on or before July 14, 2026.
After July 14 at 11:59 PM ET, withdrawals will receive a code that can be used for a future DC Golf event or in the DC Golf store.
The Snee Farm Country Club golf staff may cancel play or the event due to dangerous weather or course conditions.

  • THE DC GOLF CUP

One 4-player team will be crowned champion of the Back to School Bash.
Each player of the winning team will receive an award, and each winning player’s name will be permanently etched on the DC Golf Cup, our version of the Wannamaker or Stanley Cup.

If there is a tie, the champion will be decided by a putt-off.

  • AFTER THE ROUND

After all teams finish, players and families will gather for food, community, and the winner
    announcement.
Parents are encouraged to be part of the day. Watch from the cart path, spend time at the clubhouse, meet other junior golf families, and enjoy the energy of a different kind of junior golf event.

  • At DC Golf, we celebrate family.

Golf may be played one swing at a time, but the best memories are shared.
